You know, Texas beat Missouri this weekend. It was a bittersweet win since Mizzou is my alma mater. (First bitter, then slowly, slowly, sweet.) Today I recovered from the senseless ribbing and cruel mocking of Saturday. So, imagine my delight when tonight, sitting at my borrowed desk on 50th and Madison, I looked up to see the tip of the Empire State building lit up in BURNT ORANGE! It must be because Texas is #1. I told an SC friend this. He tried to tell me the orange was for Halloween. Hater.

I'm leaving tomorrow and then Ruth comes on Saturday!
